We have known Facebook emoticons to be around for quite some time but they tend to be too bland and simple to dazzle your friends and leave them momentarily stunned. Or so they seem. Even Facebook admits this and so it wants to reinvent its emoticons with the help of Matt Jones, a Pixar story illustrator.
According to Buzzfeed, the social media behemoth gave orders to Jones to come up with emoticons to express a range of complex emotions such as like “contemplation, admiration, affirmation, maternal love, determination, devotion, resignation, and gratitude.” Those are indeed complex and to be able to graphically express each of those emotions clearly with an added “wow” factor on top of them is a bit challenging. Jones currently has sketches of the emoticons as his draft but until they become finalized and launched by Facebook, we will not be able to gawk at them in our chatbox, comments and status updates.
Meanwhile if you are really looking for some emoticons to sizzle your chatbox and knock the socks off your friends, we are glad to share with you some that really do the job. Like other Facebok users, I have been searching for emoticons to take the way we converse with friends to a different level and I am glad to have found some amazing Facebook chat emoticons courtesy of our friends at Symbols and Emoticons for Facebook. This is an awesome site that develops the codes of some of the coolest emoticons around. They have a variety of emoticons from animals to, smileys, to people and love emoticons.
How to Display the Facebook Chat Emoticons
To display the emoticons on your chatbox, all you have to do is to visit the website, copy the codes and paste them on you chatbox. As simple as that.
We choose not to display the codes here because, they are regularly updated to ensure that they are working well. Also, please note that these emoticons to do not work in comments and status updates for the moment because Facebook do not allow them yet. Also, they may not display correctly in mobile. For maximum fun therefore, you are advised to use them on your desktop. They are proven to work in all popular browsers such as Firefox, Chrome and Safari.
So what you will find below are just few of the emoticons in the collection of Symbols and Emoticons for Facebook. Check these out now and share with us your thoughts and experiences. Also, don’t forget to share this article with your friends in Facebook and in other social media platforms. Enjoy!
